Lineage
Stephanie was initially introduced to meditation thirty years ago by Bliss Bellinger at College of Marin, with whom she studied for a number of years. He taught a variety of meditative forms, feeling that each person needs to intuit his or her own natural style of meditating. It was Bliss who insisted she write her book Tapping the Wisdom Within, A Guide to Joyous Living.
Fifteen years ago she began attending Spirit Rock Meditation Center’s Friday morning class with dharma teacher and Spirit Rock co-founder Anna Douglas. She has attended the class regularly ever since. Its current dharma teacher is Dana de Palma.
She has attended numerous Spirit Rock retreats and day longs with various teachers. Spirit Rock is a center for Vipassana or insight meditation.  And this is primarily what Stephanie teaches her students.
Her own teaching began after writing the book. She hosted the “Meditation Tips & Techniques” folder on AOL for two years in the early 1990’s as Stefalie. Since then she has lead various groups and coached individuals to perfect their own daily practice.
